The World Bank snobbed the legislative hearings regarding corrupt DPWH officials and De Luna et.al. contractors. The Philippine senate and congressional hearing and investigations are turning into a mad circus and a venue for shameless grandstanding.
Did our clowns really expect the WB to partcipate in the fanfare and be part of the circus?
And, did our clowns in congress really believe that the WB would dish out a reoport it can not substantiate?
The circus should learn to investigate itself and not it's audience.
The congressional panel appeared to be much more interested in defending the contractors than finding out whether contractual and bidding anomalies took place between the DPWH and the De Luna group.
My opinion on the matter.
